American Apparel and Viva Radio Announce First-Ever Music Sales Collaboration

Clothing company to be exclusive pre-release distributor of Sebastien
Tellier's new album Sexuality in Germany

LOS ANGELES, May 22 -- Los Angeles based clothing company
American Apparel is making its first foray into the music world as the sole
distributor of Sebastien Tellier's upcoming release, Sexuality (Record
Makers) for its first two months of release in Germany. The album will be
sold at American Apparel locations throughout Europe beginning May 23, and
online at http://www.americanapparel.net. American Apparel will also create
an exclusive garment for the collaboration, the company announced today.

Viva Radio, American Apparel's in-house radio station, is the driver
behind the partnership with Parisian label Record Makers. All parties
involved seem to agree that the sensual overtones of the album make it a
perfect fit with the ever-provocative retailer.

"The first single from the album is Sexual Sportswear," said Matt
Werth, Content Director at Viva Radio, "It's really a perfect fit.
Sebastien's existing body of work is already popular among Viva Radio
contributors and listeners so we're really excited to offer Sexuality in
our stores."

Stephane Elfassi, RecordMakers' label manager, "There are not many
companies that we would partner with. It had to really feel right, and with
American Apparel it does."

Tellier's upcoming release has been gaining wide-ranging critical
acclaim, from Pitchfork, The Guardian, NME and Vice UK. Sexuality ---
produced by Guy Manuel de Homem-Christo (Daft Punk) -- will be available at
the American Apparel stores on CD and vinyl LP, alongside 7" and 12"
versions of Divine, the album's second single.

Sexuality's release date coincides with Sebastien Tellier's
participation in Eurovision Song Contest 2008, which has stirred
controversy among the competition's traditionalists. Representing France,
Tellier is expected to sing in French, but will be performing Divine mostly
in English.
